Original driveway and fire pit patio, fully restored

Every paver on this SeaGrove property was original to the house: the front driveway and the fire pit patio out back. Years of Anastasia Island weather had left the driveway stained and mottled, and the edges had crept outward, which opened up the joints and let the field separate. We re-based the edges, re-set the loose pavers, deep-cleaned everything, re-sanded the joints and sealed it. Nothing was replaced. It was all brought back.

What we did

Fix the edges first, or the rest doesn't hold

The separation on this driveway started at the sides. Once the edge pavers lose their restraint, they drift outward a little at a time, the joints behind them open, and the field starts to walk. Cleaning and sanding over that just hides it for a season. So we lifted the edge runs, rebuilt the base under them, re-set them tight and locked them back in before anything else happened.

Then the full restoration: deep clean with a surface cleaner to pull the staining and organic growth, re-sand the joints, and seal. Same process on the fire pit patio and seat wall out back. The pavers are the ones that came with the house. They just look like it again.
