Handyman & Home Repairs
Surface restoration is our specialty, but the tools and the standards carry over. We take on repair and improvement work around the house for homeowners across St. Johns County — the jobs that need doing right without hiring a full contractor.

What we take on
Most of our repair work comes from homeowners we have already restored a driveway or pool deck for. They have seen how we work, and they would rather hand us the list than find someone new for each item.
We are happy to take new customers too. The jobs below are the ones we do most often, but the list is not exhaustive — describe what you need and we will tell you straight whether it is something we do well.
- Drywall repair — patched, textured and color matched
- Interior and exterior painting, from one accent wall to a whole house
- Accent walls, board and batten, wood, tile and stone refacing
- Tile repair and small tile installations
- Storage racks — freestanding, wall and ceiling mounted
- Item mounting — TVs, mirrors, shelving, blinds and curtains
- Furniture assembly and appliance installation
- Attic flooring and access improvements
- Door installation, screen repair, locks and weatherstripping
- Fence repair and installation in vinyl, wood and metal
What we do not do
Being clear about this saves everyone time. We do not take plumbing or electrical work. Not because it is beyond us, but because that work belongs with licensed trades and we are not going to pretend otherwise to win a job.
If your repair turns out to need either, we will tell you before we start and we will usually be able to point you at someone local we would use ourselves. We would rather lose the job than leave you with work that has to be redone.
- No plumbing work
- No electrical work
- No structural or load-bearing alterations
- Honest referrals where the job belongs with another trade
How repair work is scheduled
Restoration jobs are booked in advance and take a full day or more. Repair work fills the gaps around them, which means turnaround varies with the season — spring and fall are our busiest restoration months.
Existing restoration customers get priority on the schedule. If you are a new customer with a repair list, call and we will give you a realistic window rather than a promise we cannot keep.
It is almost always worth batching several small jobs into one visit rather than calling us out for each one. You get more done for the same trip, and we can price the visit better.
- Existing restoration customers scheduled first
- Small jobs batched into a single visit where possible
- Realistic timing given up front, not an optimistic guess
- Written price before work starts, same as our restoration jobs

Questions
Handyman & Home Repairs FAQs
Do you do plumbing or electrical work?
No. Both belong with licensed trades and we do not take that work. If a repair turns out to need either, we will tell you before starting and can usually point you to someone local we would use ourselves.
Are you taking new handyman customers?
Yes, though restoration customers get priority on the schedule. Call and we will give you an honest window rather than a promise we cannot keep. Spring and fall are our busiest restoration months, so turnaround is longer then.
Is there a minimum charge?
We price by the job rather than by the hour, and you get a written number before anything starts. For very small single items it is usually worth batching a few jobs into one visit — you get more done for the same trip charge.
Do you handle small jobs, or only big ones?
Both, but batching helps. Mounting one mirror is a job we will do; mounting a mirror, patching two walls and hanging some blinds in one visit is a better use of the trip for both of us.
What areas do you cover for handyman work?
The same as our restoration work — Saint Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, Ponte Vedra, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, World Golf Village and Fruit Cove, with no travel fee in St. Johns County. Jacksonville and Palm Coast depend on scheduling.
Can you do repairs at the same time as my paver restoration?
Often yes, and it is the most efficient way to do it. Mention the repair list when we come out to measure your pavers and we will price both together.
