"What else do you do?"
While I was doing real estate around Orlando, I kept noticing homes with gutters so full of debris there were plants growing out of them. So I ran a small test: about $20 on a Facebook ad, offering a $99 gutter cleaning.
One of my first customers was an older woman with a one-story home. I didn't have a company truck or any real equipment yet — I showed up in a Toyota Corolla with a 20-foot extension ladder. Her covered back porch had a small gutter with little trees growing right out of it, and the flat porch roof needed cleaning too. I'd quoted around $100. It took longer than I expected, but I wasn't going to rush it because I'd underpriced myself — I cleaned the roof, cleaned the gutter, tested it, made sure the water actually flowed right.
As I was finishing up, she asked me: "What else do you do?"
That question was the actual start of PD Home Pros. She wanted screens replaced, light bulbs changed, heavy things moved, her driveway painted. I started advertising more of what I could do. Customers kept asking the same question, jobs turned into more jobs, and people started referring me to friends and neighbors. The business grew from there — one gutter cleaning, one Corolla, and a question I didn't expect.
